Our family has been in the business for over 40 years and was started by my mother (Fran McDade). We ventured out under our own name (Scadden Real Estate Alt.) almost 20 years ago and have seen many changes along the way. Our son (RJ Scadden) has now taken over the management of the design & building process and has proven to be a quality builder, a very efficient scheduler, and well respected by the sub-contractors. We have a unique perspective as I am also a professional inspector and HERS rater; as well as, a Real Estate Broker. We build both Custom and Spec housing in surrounding towns. While we are a small company that also means that we are able to keep overhead low and be competitive in the market. We look forward to meeting you soon and helping YOU to build your dream home.

Residential Spec

Our family niche has always been spec homes. We build our spec homes to the same quality standard and code requirements as we would a custom home. We supply the builder standard fixtures, granite countertops, custom cabinetry, stainless steel appliances and a livable open floorplan. Some of the pros to purchasing a spec home are they are typically more affordable, no waiting like the idea of a brand new build, not having to deal with contractors and a turnkey condition of you don’t need to worry about renovations, repairs or upgrade before you can move in.

Residential Custom

We also build custom homes which allows you to pick your location, a chance to build your dream home, and the ability to choose all the finishing touches such as light fixtures, granite, appliances, flooring, paint colors, and most importantly the floor layout which suits your family needs.

We can do either for you and both would be built to a high quality standard and ensure all code requirements were met.
